When Charlie and I go for walks I try to have it that he walks closely with me, but sometimes he will just take off walking (sometimes running) ahead of me. I wonder where he would go if I would just let him. Would he go to Stew Leonard? Or his friends house down the block? Or is he just walking with no direction…not really sure where he will go…kind of lost.
“You better hope you and Mike never have children”. That is something that was said to me about two months before I got pregnant with Charlie. Those are words that someone who is hoping to get pregnant never should hear right before getting pregnant.
Have you ever had those moments, where one minute everything is going wonderfully, and the next minutes your world crashes around you? That moment that blind sides you and the world stops spinning and you don’t know if it will start again, like you are laying in a bunch of ashes when it was once beautiful?
So you know those nightmares you have before you get married, or have a baby, or start a new job? You know the one where your wedding dress falls off, or your maid of honor falls into the cake? Or the one where you baby comes out an alien, of a ferocious sea creature!? Well I have those leading up to events that I am planning. It’s true.
Have you ever looked at the stars? The canvas of little specs of lights in the pitch black night. But they aren’t little specs of lights are they? We know that up close, stars are not so small after all. They are really big and really bright!
Last year Mike and I began a New Year’s tradition we hope to continue for many years to come. We decided to commit to praying for 4 things as a family throughout 2015.
